Sound Healing Science & Benefits

Spirit, Soul, Emotion, Mind, Body

Stress is THE major cause of 90% of what puts our body in "dis"ease.

Integral Sound Healing Therapy works at our very core, our energy centers and vibrational connection to ourselves and the universe.

The vibrational forces of sound are emitted from the movement or vibration of all matter. They manifest in a constant cacophony of sound waves, endlessly resonating in the universal sea of consciousness.

These sounds are both audible and inaudible to the human senses. Regardless of our capacity to hear or feel sound waves, they manifest as cause and effect, not only to us as human beings but also to the wider world around us. Sound waves wash over us at every second of every minute, and hour of every day and continue to vibrate endlessly.

The sound vibrations of the sound healing instruments penetrate deep into the tissue. This improves blood circulation and metabolism, regulates muscle tension and deeply stimulates the tissue. Moreover, regeneration and repair mechanisms are stimulated.  Sound healing is both activating and relaxing – so it also has a refreshing effect.

The oscillation, or resonance, of molecules, triggered by the sound vibrations cause alternating compression and relaxation of cells. It is, in effect, a form of massage at a cellular level deep within the tissue undergoing the treatment.

Integral Sound Healing is used to alleviate symptoms caused by many conditions, including anxiety, PTSD, dementia, cancer, behavioural and psychiatric disorders, and much more.

It also helps lower stress, blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and the risk of heart conditions such as artery disease and stroke, whilst improving sleep quality and overall well being.

Deep relaxation is the most significant benefit of sound healing, followed by its energetic deep tissue massage effect caused by the sound vibrations that open, clear, and balance the chakras, whilst releasing stuck energy.

Ultimately, sound therapy supports our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being, leaving us feeling balanced and refreshed.

Metta Loving -Kindness Meditation

Metta, in itself, is the practice of loving kindness towards oneself, and then extending that loving kindness towards others, from your family and friends, to complete strangers across the universe, and even including those who may have caused us difficulty.

It is the basic, yet profound, concept that you cannot love others, without first loving yourself. You must put your own oxygen mask on first, before helping others. It is absolutely NOT a "selfish" act, quite the opposite. It is one of the most selfless, and compassionate acts you can perform.

Love Yourself! You deserve it!

Metta Sound & Laughter Healing guides you in reconnecting with your true self. Your true vibration that resonates with YOU, and, outwardly, to those around you, and beyond.

We believe in sitting, and practicing one of the most profound Buddhist meditations we know.

Here is how we suggest, but remember, it is all up to YOU how you want to practice!

Find a nice comfortable, uplifting quiet spot to sit. Plan between 10 to 20 minutes. You can do this practice with eyes open or closed.

Allow your body to relax, feel at ease, and connect with your breath, following each breath in through your nose and out your mouth.

Bring your attention to your heart area, maybe even putting one hand over your heart, or leave them resting comfortably on your knees.

Begin to offer "loving-kindness" to yourself by repeating these phrases, allowing ample time in between. Really FEEL  them!

May I be safe - May I be healthy - May I be happy - May I be at ease - May I be filled with loving-kindness -

May I be peaceful.

Next, think of someone you care about, or love, friend, family member, or even a pet. Picture them in your mind as you offer them the same phrases of loving kindness.

May you be safe - May you be healthy - May you be happy - May you be at ease - May you be filled with loving - kindness -

May you be peaceful.

If you find your mind wandering, as with any meditation, simply return to your breath for a bit, and follow it as it enters, and exits, your body.

Next, return to the meditation, and think of the world outside your circle of friends and family. Perhaps even of a person who may have caused difficulty in your world. This may not be the easiest thing to do, and if it does seem painful, sit for a moment with the loving kindness you have sent to yourself. When you are ready, focus on this person again, and the universe in general, representing all outside your "inner circle", and offer them, and the universe, loving - kindness.

May all beings be safe - May they be healthy - May they be happy - May thy be at ease - May they be filled with loving kindness -

May all beings be peaceful.

Namaste!
